Experience
Machteld Pel has been a mediator since 1998 and has ample experience in mediation in the following types of conflicts or problems:
Private sector
- labor disputes in profit and non-profit enterprises
- conflicts between professional partnerships
- problems within family businesses, for example relating to transference of business ownership
- a stalemate in the negotiations between companies
- execution or clarification of (ongoing) contracts, for example in the transport sector, the ICT sector, or between commercial suppliers and customers
- guided negotiations in order to prevent conflicts (from escalating)
- problems between the board of directors and the works council (joint consultative committee)
- within the health care sector: collaboration between medical doctors, midwifes, medical specialists and medical staff within hospitals
- consequences of damage liability

- relationship between government and citizens (among which problems related to financial assistance, social security benefits, licenses)

She is a member of the Independent Standards Commission’ of the International Mediation Institute.
Referrers
Machteld Pel primarily conducts mediations through referrals from her own network and also on request of companies, consultants or lawyers. In addition she guides mediation processes for the Foundation of Conflict Resolution within the ICT sector (Stichting Geschillenoplossing Automatisering), Result ADR and the Netherlands judiciary.
